We have set ourselves the goal of commercializing higher value products through knowledge building. Together, we work to break down barriers and find the path to success across international markets.

Regulatory requirements and the commercialization journey

The cluster's members seek positions in many markets where it can be difficult to gain a foothold due to regulatory barriers.

Whether it concerns the export and sale of dietary supplements or products made from residual materials, we must tackle demanding rules and regulations. Therefore, we seek – and convey – external expertise, especially from those who have expertise in international markets.

As a cluster, we map inappropriate barriers, and we share expertise and information internally within the cluster and with the authorities. Regulatory conditions are also raised through various conferences organized by the cluster.

Stimulate entrepreneurship

Through the tools at ÅKP, we stimulate entrepreneurship and position ourselves in new markets and segments where the cluster can offer products of ever-increasing value.

We see the value of collaborating in national and regional value chains so that the industry can build common expertise related to the documentation of origin, content, and health effects.

International market understanding

We increase market understanding and the value of our products through internal capacity building within the cluster, and through effective commercialization.

We work to enhance our collective knowledge of cultural differences, trade barriers, regulations, documentation requirements, and certifications so that our members can navigate these markets.

In collaboration with Innovation Norway and other partners, we have organized member trips to new markets, including Spain and Iceland.

We highlight new and emerging market segments through projects, webinars, and workshops. Pet Food is one such example, where we have also produced a market report for the cluster's members.
