More money and more partners on the team: the EU project OASIS, where ÅKP is a partner, is helping companies enter new markets.
Oct 16, 2025
The EU project OASIS is receiving more funding through the Interreg North Sea Programme. The funds will be used to take more companies out to new markets, conduct pressure tests in Norway, and further strengthen collaboration in the project.
The term "pressure tank" is something the Oasis project has adopted. This is a description for inspiring gatherings for participants in the project. Intensive innovation arenas where companies receive help to mature and commercialize technologies.
As part of the expansion, Norwegian Offshore Wind (NOW) is now included as a subpartner to ÅKP.

Elisabeth Remøy
– This is very good news for us, says Elisabeth Remøy, project manager at ÅKP. – We have received funding that makes it possible to support more Norwegian companies in their efforts towards green energy transition, and we have a new and strong partner who shares our ambitions to build sustainable value creation at sea.
A European Cooperation for Green Transition
OASIS is a European collaboration project that aims to help companies in the energy and maritime sectors test and validate new solutions through the so-called pressure tanks.
The project is led by DMEC (Dutch Marine Energy Centre) in the Netherlands, with partners from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. ÅKP represents Norway in the partnership.
– Having Norwegian Offshore Wind on the team means that we stand even stronger together when connecting Norwegian companies to the European innovation ecosystem, says Remøy, adding:
– It's about building bridges between research environments, industry, and investors – and ensuring that more Norwegian companies can reach out and test their solutions in the international market.

New pressure tank in Norway
The additional funding makes it possible for even more companies to apply to be part of OASIS. In January 2026, the first of two OASIS pressure tanks will be held in Norway. This will take place at ÅKP in Ålesund. Up to eight companies can qualify to participate in the pressure tank.

– The pressure tanks have proven to be extremely valuable for companies looking to position themselves in the green transition. Here they receive both professional sparring, feedback from international experts, and the opportunity to build lasting relationships, says Remøy.
