As a follow-up to this fall's major maritime seminar on electrification, we – together with NTNU and the REFUEL project – invite you to an in-depth workshop on the technical and operational challenges that are now emerging in modern hybrid and fully electric power systems at sea.
During the day, we will go through experiences from concrete events and accidents, as well as challenges that have arisen with the integration of new energy carriers, control systems, and components. The goal is to gather insights from the industry to:
identify areas where updated guidelines are needed,
assess whether existing regulations and testing/demonstration requirements should be adjusted,
and point out critical research and development needs to ensure safer and more robust future energy systems.
The workshop is relevant for shipping companies, designers, shipyards, technology suppliers, classification societies, and anyone working with electrification and safe integration of new energy solutions on board.
