Norway is a global maritime powerhouse, known for cutting-edge shipbuilding and sustainable ocean technologies. But as vessels become increasingly digital, they also become more vulnerable to cyber threats. The Maritime Cyber Security Adoption project aims to secure the digital backbone of the industry—and protect one of Norway’s most valuable assets.

Cyberattacks on ships and ports can disrupt global trade, endanger crews, and expose sensitive data. With rising geopolitical tensions and stricter regulations, the need for cyber resilience is urgent. Led by GCE Blue Maritime, the project unites industry leaders like Kongsberg, DnV, NTNU, VARD, and Digicat to help maritime companies navigate this new threat landscape.

Through hands-on workshops, self-assessment tools, expert advisory services, and cyber training in NTNU’s advanced simulation center, participants will learn to understand and comply with new standards like IACS UR E26 & E27 and the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act.

The goal? Increased awareness, stronger resilience, and a competitive edge for Norwegian maritime companies. This isn’t just about digital tools—it’s about ensuring safety, sustainability, and global leadership in the maritime sector for years to come
