Engaged the entire organization: Cflow accelerated its AI efforts with an AI Kick-off.
Nov 7, 2025
— It's about becoming a bit aware of what the opportunities are, and then planting some seeds in the organization, so that they can thrive and grow. Then, we can soon start to utilize new technologies and tools, says Tom Christian Dahl, VP of Digitalization at Cflow.
Cflow in Langevågen started the journey with AI Kick-off, a short, intensive session developed and delivered by Norsk Katapult Digital and ÅKP, with indirect support from Nemonoor. Throughout the work, the company found that they engaged the entire organization to see the possibilities with artificial intelligence.
An eye-opener for the entire company

AI Kick-off gathers employees from across the organization to identify opportunities, challenges, and needs. For Cflow, this became a valuable start to the journey toward more targeted use of artificial intelligence.
— Pål has a lot of knowledge in the field, and I think many got an eye-opener on what AI can actually be used for – and also on the limitations that exist, says Daniel Haavoll, VP Human Resources & HSE.
He highlights that awareness increased across disciplines:
— Everyone is familiar with artificial intelligence, and several already use it administratively, with the help of for example ChatGPT and Co-pilot. But we see that the potential is much greater – especially if we manage to be more focused and precise.
From awareness to action
Cflow chose to build on the experiences from AI Kick-off and is now moving forward with Sprint to AI, where ideas are concretized and prioritized.
— Through AI Kick-off, we engage many in the organization, and it allows good ideas to come from several places – not just from the technologists, says Anna With Rødstøl, project manager at Norsk Katapult Digital.
She adds:
— That is exactly the strength of tools like ChatGPT and Co-pilot – they have democratized the field, allowing anyone to contribute suggestions for new solutions.
Pål Haugen, senior advisor at Norsk Katapult Digital, says that the most important thing is to get started:
— The most important thing is to get companies to take the first step. Many perceive AI as something big and distant, but AI Kick-off makes it tangible – and gives a bit more of a down-to-earth approach to the technology. We are here to solve problems, not to create LinkedIn posts with buzzwords.

Nemonoor makes a difference
The development of Sprint to AI and AI Kick-off are examples of projects that have Nemonoor as a background locomotive, so to speak. Nemonoor is a national competence network for artificial intelligence, supported by the EU and Innovation Norway. The goal of Nemonoor is to help Norwegian companies adopt AI in a safe and effective manner.
Having support from Nemonoor has been crucial for several Norwegian companies, like Cflow, to explore how artificial intelligence can strengthen both competitive strength and innovation capacity.
— There is no doubt that the support has been liberating for many companies. Without the funds from the EU, Innovation Norway, and the collaboration within Nemonoor, many of these processes would not have been set in motion so quickly, says Pål Haugen, who adds:
— We are constantly receiving new projects and are distributing the support as broadly as we can.
