To succeed in idea development and growth, the right skills and good tools are needed.

ShipMed AS

Core business

ShipMed has many years of experience, expertise, and documented results in maritime medicine and ship hospitals, and is authorized by the Health Directorate to carry out inspections of medications and medical equipment on board vessels, and can issue medical conformity documents.

Challenge

The goal is to ensure that the event setup is suitable for the purpose, both in terms of furniture and the placement of medical equipment. One challenge that ShipMed often faces is entering the shipbuilding process too late. The GA (general arrangement) is often locked in several cases, which complicates the ability to influence the design of the hospital.

Delivery

One wishes to develop a hospital configurator in 3D that can display different sizes and layouts for various types of ships. There is also a need to demonstrate medical equipment in 3D. The models can be used both as prototyping of ship hospitals in the design phase of the vessel and for training.

Realization of gains

ShipMed greatly benefits from the interactive 3D application used as an explanatory model for customers and other stakeholders. The models enable a completely new, visual, and simplified explanation model. It could potentially open new markets for this type of innovative solutions.

Kvenna AS

Core business

Kvenna AS delivers advanced machining, engineering, and high-quality products for the marine and subsea industries. The company consists of two main departments: the Machining Department and the Product & Engineering Department, which together provide solutions to some of the world's leading players in the industry.

Challenge

We wanted to digitize the paper-based processes used in production to reduce measurement errors and better document the finished product.

Delivery

Our first step in this digital transformation was the development and implementation of a measurement scheme that records tolerances on the produced mechanical parts and compares them with the allowed deviations according to the documentation.

Realization of gains

Kvenna AS has strengthened the quality and efficiency of the production process and established a digital measurement system that alerts when it is outside the allowed tolerance. The goal of the digitalization is to establish a modern, digital infrastructure that enables real-time monitoring of production quality.

Nøsted & AS

Core business

Nøsted & is a leading player in the design, production, and delivery of chains and associated connectors for wheel chains and forest belts, as well as equipment for lifting, securing, and tractor tools under the renowned brands TRYGG, IGLAND, and FRAM. In addition, the company offers construction services, manufacturing of machine components, testing, and inspection of lifting equipment.

Challenge

A central challenge today is being able to visualize how tire chains fit on the tires as early as possible (preferably before the chain has been produced).

Delivery

Proof of Concept of a digital 3D tool in the form of a clickable prototype that takes us through a proposed flow for the design of chains, from inputting dimensions of new tires to a 3D visualization and verification.

Realization of gains

The goal of the project is to test the possibilities for streamlining and optimizing the building list method, so that snow chains can be adapted to new tire dimensions in a more efficient and precise way. Benefits:

Simpler and faster workflows for employees to achieve quick responses to customers, best fit for the chains, reduced risk of incorrect production, better material utilization, and reduced waste.

EB Salmon Lice AS

Core business

EB Lakselus AS develops, produces, and sells equipment for combating sea lice.

Challenge

In order to maintain the operational economic advantage that open salmon farms have over closed facilities, effective measures must be taken to prevent sea lice and other parasites from reaching the fish.

Delivery

The delivery consists of an interactive 3D application along with an interactive digital infographic. Using 3D models and interactivity, one can virtually demonstrate the features and benefits of the product.

Soundfence AS

Core business

SoundFence aims to help farmers reduce losses and increase efficiency by removing deer from agricultural areas using technology in a reasonable manner.

Challenge

The project addressed the need for a solution that can scare deer using sound and AI recognition, while the system should also cover large areas more cost-effectively and user-friendly than traditional fences. The solution had to take into account varied terrain, environmental conditions, and the risk of deer habituating to the stimuli over time.

Delivery

A technical assessment of sensors, audio devices, and cameras was conducted before a prototype was developed and tested. Sensor response and sound playback were tried out in practice, and the system was integrated with image and sound recording to document functionality. The project also resulted in a comprehensive technical description and a roadmap that shows proposed versions and further development paths.

Realization of gains

SoundFence has obtained a documented proof-of-concept, as well as a clear basis for further product development, including technical insights, recommended direction, and a structured path towards a market-ready solution.
