Norwegian Maritime Technology Trade Mission to Portugal

As part of the Norwegian Maritime Export Initiative, GCE Blue Maritime Cluster invites its members to join a targeted Trade Mission to Portugal, organized by Innovation Norway in Spain and Portugal.

This mission is designed to position Norwegian maritime suppliers in a market that is now accelerating investments in fleet renewal, refurbishment, and sustainable vessel construction. Portugal has launched significant national and EU-backed programs—particularly within fisheries and short-sea shipping—creating concrete opportunities for technology providers across the maritime value chain.

From a Blue Maritime perspective, this is about turning market insight into business—connecting our cluster companies directly with decision-makers, shipyards, and owners where investments are happening.

The trip will include: 

• Visits to leading Portuguese shipyards and maritime clusters 

• Company pitch sessions directly to yards and stakeholders 

• High-level networking, including reception at the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence 

• Strong focus on refurbishment, green upgrades, and newbuild opportunities across vessel segments 

The mission brings together Norwegian competence in design, equipment, and system integration with a Portuguese market actively seeking efficient and sustainable maritime solutions.

For the Blue Maritime Cluster, this is a concrete step in strengthening international collaboration and ensuring that Norwegian suppliers are present where the next wave of maritime investments is taking place.
