We are in the midst of significant changes: fewer hands will lift more, while digitalization and green transition are rapidly changing the labor market. At the same time, we know that we cannot recruit our way out of the skills shortage. We must develop the people we have – and give them the opportunity for lifelong learning.
This seminar is a collaboration with NTNU in Ålesund and is intended to be a starting point for a more coordinated and targeted effort towards competence development in our region – especially aimed at the maritime and marine industries.
The goal is to map out what companies actually need in terms of competence and competence development moving forward, and to highlight the existing offerings – as well as explore how these can be better tailored to the needs of the business community.
